🫂1. Community Values

Black Sheep Role Play is a collaborative storytelling environment. While this server is built on a foundation of immersive roleplay and narrative freedom, that freedom comes with responsibility.

The following values define how we expect players to behave--not just in-character, but as members of a shared creative space. These values are not suggestions. They are the principles we use to evaluate behavior, resolve disputes, and determine who belongs in this community.

1.1 Story First, Not Self First

Characters should serve the story, not the player's ego or advantage.

  • Build flawed, layered characters.

  • Make decisions that deepen narrative tension.

  • Avoid min-maxing or prioritizing win conditions over roleplay.

Whether you're playing a betrayal or building a base, ask yourself: is this serving the world or just serving you?

1.2 Respect the Player, Not Just the Role

Behind every character is a real person.

  • Communicate out-of-character when scenes may become intense or uncomfortable.

  • Always get consent for triggering or heavy roleplay.

  • Be willing to pause or rewind if something goes too far.

We are here to tell stories--not cause harm.

1.3 Make Space, Don't Take Space

This world belongs to all of us. Roleplay in ways that invite participation.

  • Leave room for others to contribute meaningfully.

  • Share spotlight time in scenes and arcs.

  • Even a villain should be an invitation--not a dead end.

Being the center of attention doesn't mean making others irrelevant.

1.4 Community is Built, Not Given

You're not just playing a game, you're shaping a culture.

  • Treat others with maturity, even in disagreement.

  • Help new players find their place in the world.

  • Resolve conflict respectfully, both in-character and out-of-character.

Your conduct, especially when tensions rise, is part of what defines this community.

1.5. Elevate Each Other

This server thrives when players support one another's stories.

  • Let your character fail sometimes.

  • Create powerful moments for others, not just yourself.

  • Acknowledge and celebrate other players' contributions.

Great roleplay is rarely about domination. It's about connection.

These values are enforceable. Repeated disregard for them--especially if it results in toxic, exclusionary, or self-serving behavior--may lead to disciplinary action, regardless of whether a specific rule was broken.
